39 12 Media Tip T Note taking: Keeping the focus When you listen to a sentence, it is important to focus on the most important word(s). In most cases, you can ignore the rest of the sentence. These key words should be noted down, so that you can remember them better. Very often these words are nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. It is not necessary to write down the sentences as you hear them. Just the key words will do. Finding the most important words Listen to random sentences and note down the most important words.
