South Africa is a leading producer of gold, platinum and diamonds. The country has lots of natural resources, many of which are exported. Until then the San and Khoekhoe peoples had lived there. Unlike most other countries, South Africa has three capital cities: Cape Town is the legislative capital, Pretoria the administrative and Bloemfontein the judicial capital.
