LANGUAGE 4 Thoughts of a young poet I always wanted too be a writer, from a very young age. I started writing storys when I was about 10 years old, and than, when I was 17, I first started writing poems. But writing poems is much harder. You have to say so much in just a few words. I find getting the ryme right the hardest thing of all. For inspiration, I mainly rely on my memries. I’m lucky because I had a really happy childhood. Most of my poems are upbeat. I think to much poetry these days is miserable and deppressing. It’s great to be a published autor at my age, although I can’t give up my job just yet. It is my Dream that one day I will earn enough from my writing to life as a full-time writer. If you want to become a succesful poet one day I have two pieces of advise for you. One is to read as much poetry as you can, by as many differant authors as possible: the second is to start writing today. I think, that just 10 minutes a day can make all the difference. Practise makes perfect. Unless you have natural talent, you have to work at it weak in, weak out. Time travel: Odd one out Look at the words below. Which one is the odd one out and why?
