A cool new Thai restaurant called ‘Tom’s’ just opened in Cambridge, so I went to check it out with some friends. It looks great inside with loads of comfortable cushions to sit on. It smells fantastic as soon as you walk through the door! The guys that work there are really friendly and can help you pick a meal you’ll enjoy. I had to cool down with a coconut pudding cooked in a banana leaf for dessert! (You mustn’t drink water after eating spicy food – it will just spread the heat in your mouth!) So if you want to try something ethnic, you should get down to Tom’s, especially if you like your food hot and tasty. It’s also a brilliant choice if you’re veggie or vegan as there’s a huge menu to choose from. The food tastes really fresh and homemade. I wonder where they get their ingredients. You definitely have to check out this place. But if I were you, I would book a table in advance – it’s really busy, especially at weekends. Do you have any inside tips for me?
