Write the final, improved version of Yara’s email on a seperate sheet of paper. You should not just replace Yara’s phrases with the words her teacher suggests, but aim for a more formal tone overall. b Writing tip You sound more serious and convincing if you know the specific vocabulary for the topic you are writing about. This is also important in written exams when you are assessed on your range of vocabulary. Even if you manage to get your point across, you will lose points if you use mostly simple words.
