Rosa’s now nine months old and Abi’s gone back to work. As part of my 1 pa rights, I took several months off and I’m doing the childcare now. Anyway, the situation at my workplace wasn’t too good – we’d been warned that they were going to make some 2 cu , so to stay ahead of the game, I volunteered to take a 3 red package. They offered four months’ salary, which isn’t too bad really. I’ll be a stay-athome dad for the foreseeable future. I think I’ll take a full year off and when I do return to work, I plan to do short-term 4 co work rather than go back to full-time permanent employment.
