First you will have 45 seconds to study the task below, then you will hear the recording twice. While listening, match the speakers with their statements (A–J). Be aware of the wording of the statements e.g. do any statements express negative ideas or negative verbs? As you listen to the recording, listen for words/phrases/ideas that are repeated by all speakers. Are any of these ‘word spots’ which have been put in to distract from the correct answer? Check your answers the second time you listen.
