Compare your answers in class. 1 Do you travel and stay in hotels? 2 What are the most important features of a hotel for you? Katherine and Mauro are organising their company’s team building trip. Read Mauro’s email and complete Katherine’s list of the pros and cons of each venue. 38 39 Hi Katherine I’ve visited the two hotels we’re considering for the team-building exercise. They’re both amazing and would be great. However, there are some differences that are probably worth thinking about. The iHotel is much bigger so it’s got more facilities for guests. In the lobby there are 12 top-spec gaming PCs we could use to make an eSports team! Although we’ll probably be too busy team building in the lobby, some people might appreciate that there are also high-end PCs in each room. On top of that, all the chairs are from DXRacer so the gaming stations are comfortable as well as well-equipped. The Arcade Hotel is very different in size and style. It’s much smaller but as it is in Amsterdam it is much closer to home than the iHotel. The main gaming machines aren’t quite as well equipped, though I think it would be sufficient for our needs. Apart from the modern stuff, there are also lots of retro arcade machines and consoles. As for price, the iHotel offers some pretty good discounts, but the Arcade hotel is slightly cheaper. On balance, I have to say I’d go for the Arcade Hotel. The iHotel is so enormous and so far away it might feel rather impersonal, whereas the Arcade Hotel feels a bit more special and also has the retro touch. Anyway, let me know what you think, and please pass on your ideas to Belinda for her final decision.
