Info point: Shapes and drawings Shapes A line has only one dimension – the length. It has a beginning and an end. It is the only 1-D shape. A 2-D shape has length and width, but no depth. It can have edges and corners, but only in one plane. A 3-D shape has length, width and depth. Most of them have faces, edges and corners. All 3-D shapes are solids. Study the table below.
