E Listening Dealing with listening tasks Practise as much as possible to improve your listening skills in different communicative situations. At school you are often asked to sum up what you have heard, to interpret or to answer questions on listening texts. Usually you may take notes to support your memory. In the test situation you have to write your answers while you are still listening. You will not have time to take extensive notes and answer the questions afterwards. Typical listening situations include presentations, interviews, conversations and panel discussions. First you will have 45 seconds to study the task below, then you will hear the recording twice. While listening, complete the sentences (1–6) using a maximum of four words.
