Reading–speaking: Dark tourism (B2) “Dark tourism” is an attempt by the tourism industry to make money through international tours to sites and memorials involving death, disaster and catastrophe. You can now go on a tour to Osama bin Laden’s former hiding place, a bleak valley in Abbottabad, Pakistan, or more recently, do the “Libya: After the Revolution” tour. Can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvan- tages of various options. I could express my opinion without help. I was sometimes lost for words.
