Go back to the list in task 02 you made together with your partner. Find another pair. Take turns to describe your partner’s products and what they are made of to the other pair. Write down the notes in the table to help you. Retail store/shop Main products What are they made from? Describe your products. Write about 80–100 words. Include the following information: What kind of store/shop is it? What products are sold there? What are they made of? The words from task 05 might help you. The product picture game. Your teacher will give you three sticky notes. • On the first note: Draw a picture of a product that you sell. • On the second note: Write the kind of retail store/shop you work in. • On the third note: Write what the product you drew is made of. Stick them to the whiteboard or a wall. Then take a sticky note from each category and try to find the person it belongs to. Someone will also be looking for you during the game! Patterns and designs When you have to say what something is made from, sometimes you have to also describe the 1. pattern = a set of lines, shapes, or colours that are repeated regularly or the 2. design = the way/style that something is made so that it works in a certain way or has a certain appearance on it.
