Fill in the words from the box. Situation 1: I’m really  sorry  , but I’ve just had an  urgent  text from my husband, so I need to go outside and call him.  Hopefully  we’ll have a chance to talk later. Situation 2: Right, so if you’ll  excuse  me, I want to go and talk to a couple of other people. Do you have a business card on you? … Great, thanks. And here’s mine. Feel  free  to email me. Well, it was a  pleasure  meeting you. Enjoy the rest of the presentation. Situation 3: Well, I’ve just spotted someone that I need to speak to  urgently  . It was very  nice  meeting you. Let me give you my  card  . I’ll email you when I get back home, so we can stay in  touch  . Maybe we can have a proper talk later in the conference. See you  later  . Now practise leaving a conversation with a partner. One of you keeps on talking, the other one wants to leave the conversation being as polite as possible. Then change roles.
