Maya wrote a description of her best friends’ talents. What are they? My friends and I are kind of a band. We have never played in front of a real audience and are definitely not perfectionists, but it’s something we do together for fun. I like to write songs and take pictures. Renaud is a pretty excellent guitar player and Sofie loves to sing. Peter and Christoph are cousins and they like to “beat box”, which is making drum sounds with your mouth! I had never tried playing or writing music before I made friends with Sofie and Renaud in class last year, but they liked a story I wrote in class and asked me if I wanted to make up a song with them. They were so cool and encouraging, and I discovered something I might be talented at! Peter and Christoph heard us practicing after school one day. We thought they were going to make fun of us – but they actually just wanted to join in!  music   a concert   fun   school   letter writing   friendship What do these three friends enjoy doing? When no one feels like talking or listening to music, they kick a ball around or study for the final apprenticeship exam, which they will take next month. How do you think you and your friends will change by the time you finish vocational school? 16 Unit 3 Nur zu Prüfzwecken – Eigentum des Verlags öbv
