They are necessary for  weather protection  such as cold, heat,  solar radiation  , wind and rain. They protect against  burglary and  disturbing  noises. They should be easy to clean, they should last for a long time and they should have a decorative design. Doors are manufactured the same way as windows. The components of windows are: •• The  window frame  which is fixed into the wall of the building, it’s either fixed glazed or a casement window is fastened to the window frame. •• The  casement window frame  which holds the glass. •• The  window fittings  are for moving or closing the casement window. •• The  glass holding bars  push the glass seal against the pane of glass.
