It is reducing their chances and experiences unnecessarily. 4   , due to my own past. I was a Scout in the 1950s. I lived in a working-class area of a large northern city. I fondly remember two working men, Mr Hughes and Mr Bannerman, who gave up their evenings to teach scruffy kids self-esteem, all the time ensuring that everybody had great fun. These men also gave up their summer holidays to take us to camps in Ireland and Wales. There was not a hint of paedophilia. 5   , they made a difference to so many kids.
