Application for job as lifeguard Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing with regard to your advertisement for the job as lifeguard which appeared on theguardianjobs.com this morning. After having earned my bachelor’s degree in sports science and English at Vienna University, I would like to gain international work experience and to improve my English. Therefore, I would like to be considered for the position. As you will see from my enclosed CV, I have been working as a swimming instructor in my local swimming club since I was 16 years old. After my A-Levels I spent three summers in Turkey working as a lifeguard in all-inclusive clubs. I have also taken part in various swimming competitions in school and college. I was part of the university’s swimming team and have competed in international events. As I am not a UK resident, I unfortunately do not hold a current NPLQ qualification, but I am willing to learn and to take any exam needed. I have always been interested in working abroad and I am particularly interested in gaining work experience in the United Kingdom, as sports play a much bigger role in college and university life there than in my home country. All in all, I consider myself a very flexible person who adapts easily. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me (lehnerm@uniswim.ac.at ). If you think that I might be the right person for the job, I am available for an interview at any time. I could start at the beginning of the next semester if needed. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Maria Lehner Maria Lehner Enclosed: CV N ur z u Prüfzwecken – Eigentum d s Verlags öbv
