Agree on three arguments that you think are true and three which you think aren’t. Summarising a text Discuss these strategies for summarising a text with a partner. Which of them have you already used? How did they help you? How could the other strategies help you to improve your next summary? They must be in your summary. 2 Focus on headlines and the start of paragraphs first, they often have the information you need. 3 Make sure you answer relevant wh -questions: Who? Where? What? Why?
