23 Welcome to B2! A new school year – a new set of learning goals. But there’s something special about them now: listening and reading are now at level B2 – the pass level of your Matura exam. Writing and speaking at B2 will follow in the summer term. Therefore, you can expect this year to be more of a challenge than last year, but it also means you’ve now got two school years to practise and improve your skills at this level. Let’s get started! STRATEGIES 36 1 Go over your work in this unit and then study the new learning goals below. Which areas do you feel confident in? Which goals will need the most work? 3 Now it’s time for New (school) Year’s resolutions. What good habits do you want to continue this year? How are you going to improve? 2 Reflect on your study habits of the last two years. Did you make the most of your time in class? How much time and effort did you spend on your homework?
