M p. 18 Gwen I think students should have a bigger say about the school rules. There are so many unfair or outdated rules at my school that could be changed. For example, we are not allowed to wear trendy clothes or use our mobiles at school. My ideal school would be much more open to the modern world. Then students would be happier and learn more skills they can use in their later lives. Lisa The way I see it, good education starts with a proper school system. Without it, teachers and pupils can’t achieve much. Pupils should be able to choose from a lot of different schools and attend the most interesting one. All schools ought to have modern buildings and useful lesson materials, as well as libraries and laboratories. Good education should be available to everyone, no matter where they come from and how much money they have. I think people spend a lot of their lifetime at school, so it has to be time well spent. Keith In my opinion, the perfect teacher has to inspire students with her enthusiasm. If a teacher really loves her subject and enjoys teaching it, she can make her students want to learn it as well. I was really bad at English in primary school, but now I’ve got such a great teacher, and my grades have improved a lot. English has become one of my favourite subjects! I strongly believe only people who are really enthusiastic about their subject should teach, because then the students will want to learn. Nur zu Prüfzwecken – Eigentum des Verlags öbv
