MELISSA – Hey there, my name is Melissa and in summer I usually go hiking with my grandparents. Last year, we went to the mountains in Carinthia. My uncle loves being active and doing outdoor activities like hiking. I like being outside too, especially if it rains. What I like best is taking photos of animals and eating berries we pick in the woods. 2. RUSSEL – Hi, I’m Russel and I love the summer holidays because I can relax and hang out with my friends. My best friend Djordje and I never go away on holiday because we love staying home. We play a lot of football. In the morning we always go to the park because there is nobody else around at the football field, and in the afternoon we play virtual football on Djordje’s PlayStation. 3. AGNES – Hey, my name is Agnes. For our summer holiday my mum and I always go on a city trip because my dad loves sightseeing. Last year we went to Rome. It was absolutely great. When I’m on holiday, I always read a lot of books. In Rome we saw many interesting sights: the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and of course the Vatican. On our last day, we had the best pizza ever at Piazza Navona. 4. MARTIN – Hello, I’m Martin. I love the summer holidays because my family and I usually go to the sea. It is really cool to play on the beach or try out surfing in the sea. My favourite beach is in Croatia, but this year we are going to fly to Greece. We are a big family: me, my mum and my dad and also my step-sister. She is my dad’s daughter. We also have a cat, but she doesn’t like travelling, so she is going to stay at home this year. b) Correct the mistakes and write the sentences in your exercise book.
