A very special birthday party Granny Camilla’s birthday party Complete the dialogue and put in the missing sentences. There are three sentences too many. Tom: 1. Hi Susanna, how are you? Susanna: Thanks, I’m fine. And you? Tom: 2. Susanna: No, not really, it was boring. There was nothing to do and the weather was awful. Tom: 3. Susanna: Oh, was it? Tom: 4. She looked so happy. It was such a nice day. Everybody had a good time. Susanna: Was it just you and your parents? Tom: 5. And of course, granddad. And we also invited some of her best friends. Susanna: And what did you do? Tom: 6. It was really nice because everybody helped. My uncle made a carrot cake, and my brother and I – we helped with the drinks. And we played her favourite music. Susanna: And what did she get? Tom: 7. Susanna: And did you get one for her? Tom: 8. We wanted to make this a really nice birthday for her. We also took a lot of pictures. Susanna: How nice! Tom: 9. She looked very elegant in her new dress. And she was smiling all the time. Sweet. 1  Alright. Did you have a nice weekend? Did you text her? She wanted to have a photo album of the whole family. Yes, we did. My mum went to a shop in town and bought a very nice album for her. My weekend was really nice. Was the weather nice? Yes, we celebrated my grandmother’s 75th birthday. We had lunch in the garden and then we had a little party in the evening. And what did she give you? Yes, she was really excited. Oh, no.
