In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon. Nowadays, the idea of moon tourism is gaining more attraction within society. 2. Half a century later, only a handful of people, all astronauts, have left their footprints on the lunar landscape, but a ticket to the moon for ordinary people, or at least people with a few million dollars to spend, may soon finally be available. 3. The first lunar tourists – two unnamed people who have paid SpaceX an unnamed (but probably very large) amount of money for the chance to be part of its Dragon 2 capsule crew on a lunar trip – could take off within the next few years. 4. Most of the current tourism plans are focused on getting people into orbit around the moon, rather than providing guided tours on the moon’s surface. However, if lunar tourism really takes off, which isn’t given at this point, because the price is astronomical, then eventually people want to see the sites on the ground, too. 5. It’s unlikely, though not impossible, that many of us will ever look down at planet Earth from the moon, but our grandkids might take their grandkids there on vacation someday. b) Match the pictures with the paragraphs and draw lines.
