A choreographer creates dance routines that are shown on stage in a theatre. Our company puts on five shows per year and one impressive Christmas event. As a choreographer I make sure that the audience will watch a spectacular dance show and that my dancers like what they do. I have to listen very carefully to the piece of music that is being used and work out the timing of the dance steps. We spend a lot of time together practicing my choreographies, so that the dance is perfect for the audience to see. As a choreographer, you have to be creative, of course.
