My biggest dream is to become a professional basket- ball player, but I could also become a sports agent who helps teams find new players. I’m sure I have all the qualities that I need. I’m ambitious and disciplined. I have no problem exercising every day. Patsy: I’m really creative. I love drawing and painting and building stuff. I dream of getting a job in the arts one day. Maybe I’ll be an artist who draws pictures for children’s books. Or I’ll paint pictures that are sold in big galleries. I’m just full of energy. I don’t know exactly what to do now. 1. After a summer job in tourism, I realised that this was something I didn’t want to do. But I got more and more interested in medicine. So I trained as a nurse. Today I work in a retirement home and take care of elderly people. It’s a hard job, but I love it. 3. I’m really happy with the job I’m doing at the moment. I have become an interior designer. I have specialised in designing hotel rooms. Last year, I designed the luxury suites of a big hotel in Las Vegas. For me, my dream has come true. 2. When I turned 21, I had a moun- tain bike accident. It took me a few weeks to recover. After that, I couldn’t continue my training. So I decided to do something completely different and studied meteorology. Today I tell you how the weather’s going to be the next day. b) Now have a look at what they said at the high school reunion. Can you guess who said what? Draw lines. Gillian: I love helping other people, so I’d like to have a job in the service industry one day. I could really make a difference. I think I’m cooperative and friendly. My mum always says I’m patient. I don’t know exactly which job I should pick yet. Maybe I’ll become a receptionist or a call centre agent.
