Different kinds of personal writing 1. Diary: You are free to write as you like because only you will read the diary. 2.  Textmessage: You needn’t write full sentences or full words. You can use numbers for some words (4U = for you). 3. Note: Write the name of the person you are writing to. Write short sentences with the information. 4.  E-mailor letter (to friends, family or a magazine): These are usually longer than text messages or notes. Use full sentences. There is more information about letters on the next page. 5.  Poem,rap or rhyme: Use simple words to say how you feel about something or a situation. You can use rhymes but you don’t have to!
