Example: The person is falling asleep: I’m just moving along /Like a cloud of smoke. Match these pictures with the right phrases from the poems. b) Which poem do you like best? Which poem don’t you like? Give reasons. g 4 Perform a poem a) Work in small groups. Choose one of the slamster poems and learn the words. Each person learns the words of one part of the poem. b) Perform the poem to the class. c) Give the performances points. You can use the poetry slam rules on page 47, but you must also say why you gave the marks. Which performance was best? Practise the poem – in your bedroom, in the bathroom! – before you present it. Think about the feelings in the poem. Try to put the feelings into your voice when you perfom the poem. Look at and talk to people in all the parts of the room when you say the words of the poem.
