Present your poster to the other people in your class and talk about it with them. English people sometimes eat toast with eggs, bacon and sausages for breakfast. (Kids often just have cereal with milk!) Step 2: Looking at food and nutrients There are seven nutrients in the food that we eat. A good diet has all of these nutrients. Carbohydrate gives the body energy. Protein is for growth and repair of the body. Fat gives energy and keeps it in the body. Minerals and vitamins (both in small amounts) keep the body healthy. Fibre helps food to move through the body.
